  • How To Install a 4 and 7-Way Trailer Connector On a Bus
  • In order to install a 7-way with 4-way trailer connector on a bus with separate stop and turn signals you'll first need a 4-way with powered module, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit part # 119178KIT is what I recommend. This can then be adapted to a 7-way with 4-way using the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole part # 37185. There may also be a need to extend some of the wire depending on which circuits you'll be activating.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1998 Blue Bird TC2000
  • I would be happy to help! While there is not a custom fit trailer hitch receiver for your 1998 Blue Bird TC2000 your best option is going to be going with a universal heavy duty trailer hitch like the Draw-Tite # 41990-07 with 7" tall mounting brackets, or the # 41990-16 with 16" tall mounting brackets. These options fit frames between 18-44" wide which should be perfect for the frame on your vehicle. You will need to have a qualified welder weld the hitch to the frame of your TC2000. Both...

  • Can You Install Electric Trailer Brake Controller on Bluebird Bus with Air Brakes
  • An electric trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 can be installed on a vehicle with air brakes no problem. The controller uses inertia so there is no need to splice into the air brakes, just the stop light switch circuit at the pedal. Most do however require a 12 volt electric system. If you have 24 volt then you'd need the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR.

  • Brake Controller and Wiring Recommendation for 1983 Blue Bird Wanderlodge
  • Sounds like you are trying to wire a brake controller to your 1983 Bluebird Wanderlodge RV. The problem is that back in the 80's (and even the 90's), there weren't brake controller install ports like there are now to make installing a brake controller super simple and quick. You'd have to hardwire in a brake controller. For a wiring kit to install the brake controller to the 7-way you would want the Wiring Kit for 2 and 4 Brake Electric Brake Controllers # 5506. This will provide the...

  • Solution for Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2006 Bluebird All American FE School Bus
  • Since there are no custom fit hitches for your 2006 Bluebird All American FE School Bus you will need to use a universal hitch. I recommend one of the following: -Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07 (7" brackets) -Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-16 (16" brackets) The only difference between the 2 is the size of the mounting brackets. Both have a 2" receiver and the same 16,000 lb max trailer capacity fitting frames up...

  • Recommended Exterior RV Ladder to Fit Around Rails on 1981 Wanderlodge Roof
  • I may have a solution for you, however we do not currently have extensions available for the inside vertical mounting legs on a Exterior RV Ladder like the Surco Universal # SP502L. The Surco Universal Exterior RV Ladder may still work for your 1981 Wanderlodge depending on how high above the roof the referenced rail sits. The Surco Ladder is 84-1/2 inches long and the vertical portion of the inner mounting leg that attaches to the roof is 8 inches. The space between the vertical mounting...

  • Using NOCO Genius GEN4 Battery Charger for Two 12V Batteries and Four 6V Batteries
  • I spoke with my contact at NOCO regarding the use of the GEN4 Genius On-Board Battery Charger # 329-GEN4 for your application. She stated that this will work great to charge your two 12V batteries and four 6V batteries. What you will need to do is pair up the four 6V batteries and wire each of the two pairs in series so they have a 12V output (see attached image). Once you do this you will hook up the terminal ends of the GEN4 as follows: - Bank 1 to the first 12V battery - Bank 2 to...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit Recommendation for 2000 Blue Bird CV200
  • We have only one hitch that I can guarantee will fit a 34-1/4 inch I-beam frame. For that you'd want the part # 13703 which can fit basically any frame style between 22 and 72 inches apart.

  • Possible Trailer Hitch for 1999 Bluebird TC2000
  • The only type of hitch I could recommend for a school bus would be a multi-fit hitch like the # 13703 that is a universal style hitch designed to fit frames that are between 22 and 72 inches apart. This hitch can fit virtually all frame styles so it should work for you, but check out the install video and instructions I attached first. This could work well for you but we've not had anyone report back with a school bus like you have and let us know it worked.
